An Ocean County New Jersey Native who began his career at Ramapo College in 1992, Rich Hill was a four-year member of the men’s basketball team. He was elected captain three of the four years. He led the conference in scoring and was ranked #3 in state in the same category. He reached the 1,000 point milestone at Ramapo and finished his career with over 1,500 points and was a two-time Male Athlete of the Year recipient.
After graduating in 1996, Rich Hill went on to serve as one of Newark’s finest police officers and was later appointed to detective. While serving the department he continued his passion for basketball and joined a traveling team and soon after was offered a position on the Puerto Rican National Team. He declined to continue to work the streets of Newark.
He presently is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. In 1999, Rich married his college sweetheart and they now have two sons.
