In the fall of 1976, Bill Horn (a Ramapo player and former junior college teammate) invited Bob to visit and consider transferring to Ramapo College. Little did anyone realize what would come from a mid-October meeting with Frank Marino. Bob brought along lifelong friend and then junior college teammate (and future Hall of Famer) Chris Dahmke to this meeting. Both were impressed with meeting with future Hall of Famers Frank Marino, Glen Burek and Tom Ebert and shortly afterwards Chris and Bob transferred to Ramapo for
the January 1977 semester.

In 1977, Ramapo, was still in its' football "infancy" had only won three games in its history (all in 1976), however the enthusiasm of a building football program became contagious and together with Chris, Bob had convinced 11 transfers and (later) one coach to join the growing Ramapo football program from (then Junior College football powerhouse Westchester Community College).

During that '77 season Ramapo opened with six straight wins and finished the year at 8-2 winning the Heritage Bowl vs. Providence College and finished 2nd in the National Collegiate Football Association national rankings and left many area colleges "scratching there heads" at Ramapo's new found success.

In the three years at Ramapo, Bob lead the team, each season, in scoring and set the (then) cumulative scoring record (99 points) and set the record for most (15) and longest field goal (47 yards) in school history.

Ramapo won the National Collegiate Football Association National Championship in 1978, Bob kicked a key field goal in that game and again lead this 9-1 team in scoring. It is this 1978 team that is now in the Ramapo Hall of Fame. In 1979, Bob lead the team again in scoring and 8-2 record (a 25-5 record for his playing years) and was voted 1st team All-American.

Upon graduation, Bob played with Chris Dahmke and John Carroll with the Brooklyn Kings and kicked the winning field goal for the Brooklyn Kings in the minor-professional football league 1981 Championship game and also had several NFL tryouts.

Today, Bob is a commercial real estate professional living in Newtown Square, PA with his wife Jane and four children, Bobby, William, Owen and Emma and he remains an active supporter of Ramapo athletics and alumni endeavors.
