After a phenomenal three-year football playing career from 1976-1978, Ken Ritoch joined the Ramapo College coaching staff in 1979 where he served as an assistant for two straight seasons. Ritoch is being inducted into the Hall of Fame for his efforts on the field that helped Ramapo to a National Bowl Championship in 1978. The Roadrunners went 9-1 that season, earning a 16-14 victory over Providence for the championship crown. Ritoch served as team captain all three seasons with the team and in just his second year, 1977, he was named NCFA Defensive Player of the Year. That same season he earned National Collegiate Football Association 1st?Team All-American honors which he again earned after the 1978 season. In 1978 he was again named NCFA Player of the Year, while also being a finalist in the race for NJ Collegiate Football Player of the Year award. Prior to attending Ramapo College, Ritoch was a standout football start at Clifton High School, where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a player, and again with the team in 1998 and 2010 respectively. As a member of the 1978 Championship Team, he was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame here at Ramapo in 2006. He currently resides in Nashville, TN with his wife Patty.
