For three straight seasons (1973-1974, 1974-1975, 1975-1976) Allan Morris served as the goaltender for the Ramapo ice hockey team.  As one of the greats, Morris made his mark in the record books in three statistical categories.  He holds the record for most wins in a career (29), fewest losses in a career (5), lowest goals against average (2.71) and highest save percentage (88.2).  He was previously inducted into the hall of fame in 2001 with the ‘75-’76  “Super Team”, who won the Bi-State Metropolitan Intercollegiate Hockey League Championship, and again in 2014 with the ‘74-’75 team, a second championship squad.  The highlight of Morris’ career was during the ‘74-’75 campaign when he recorded an 18-5-1 record in over 1,500 minutes played.  He collected 536 saves and one shut out, and was named BSIHL Division All-Star.  In his final season with the team he recorded a 7-0-1 record with 171 saves and two shut outs in just under 500 minutes on the ice.

After Ramapo, Morris continued to play hockey as he served as a sergeant with the Shrewsbury Police Department, a 25 year veteran with the force. After retiring from the force, Morris resided in West Keansburg with his wife Penelope and daughter Gabriela, but sadly passed away in April, 2011. Those who knew him recall his love of hockey, his professionalism and dedication, his work for numerous causes and charities, and his devotion to his wife and their daughter.
