Dave Albano was a member of the Ramapo College Football team from 1986-1989, and graduated from the college in 1991 with a degree in Communications. In his first year with the program, Albano was named to the NJAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team, while at the conclusion of his sophomore season, his received NJAC All-Conference 2nd Team honors. In 1988, as captain, Albano helped lead the Roadrunners to six overall victories, four in conference play, which was a complete turnaround from the one victory the team earned in 1986-87. He earned NJAC All-Conference 1st Team honors, and was named Most Valuable Player that year. For his efforts in 1988, he was tabbed as a Pre-Season All-American at the start of the 1989 season. Again as team captain, Albano was named to the NJAC All-Conference 1st Team, leading his team to a 7-2 overall record, 4-2 in the NJAC. Albano is the all-time leader in receiving yards and career receptions, tallying 1,614 and 118 respectively. He wrapped up his career with 19 touchdowns and 114 points, both third on the all-time leader board. He holds single season records in receptions, with 38 in 1987, and receiving yards, with 559, also in 1987. Albano currently resides in Morris Plains with his wife Christina, and their children, Antonetta, Robert, and Gabriella.
