Another former baseball player who had a distinguished career, Frank Eufemia was perhaps the single best baseball player to grace the Roadrunner diamond in the opinion of many knowledgeable sports people.

As a member of the Bergenfield High School team the all-county senior was recruited as an outfielder but soon became a pitcher. Frank Eufemia was a mainstay of the Ramapo Roadrunner baseball team for three seasons. In 1982 in his final season he was a 1st team Division III All American, was ultimately drafted by the Minnesota Twins, and chose to pursue a professional career at that time.

In his career at Ramapo he set and held a number of records including most wins in a season, most appearances in a season, most shut-outs in a season and most strikeouts in a season. He recalls his teammates and coaches with great fondness but also feels that the games against William Paterson and Montclair State especially contributed to making him a better player and coach. Among his shining moments he mentioned pitching against Trenton State on a cold, dreary day which turned out to be the game that caused the Twins to draft him.

Currently he resides in Mahwah and is teaching and coaching at Pascack Valley High School.
