Two-time National Champion and five time NCAA All-American pole vaulter, Michelle Favre, capped off her collegiate career as being selected as a Top 30 finalist for the prestigious NCAA Woman of the Year Award.  Favre was the first RCNJ student-athlete selected as the representative from the NJAC, and was one of only ten Division III athletes selected.  Athletically she was an eight-time letter winner, the Betty Logan Senior Female Athlete of the Year and the Ramapo College Career Award recipient.  She was named USTFCCCA Regional Athlete of the Year for indoor and outdoor and NJAIAW Woman of the Year in ‘12-13.  She was named NJAC Rookie Athlete and Field Athlete of the Year for indoor and outdoor track.  She won five individual NJAC Championships in the pole vault and was a six-time NJAC 1st Team All-Conference recipient, and a two-time NJAC 2nd Team All-Conference recipient.  She also led her team to the first NJAC Team Championship in the history of the program for indoor track and field in ‘11-12.  Favre became the first student-athlete in the history of Ramapo Athletics to be named the overall NJAC Athlete of the Year.  Academically Favre won some high honors including Scholar Athlete of the Year by the USTFCCCA, CoSida Capital One Academic All-District 1st Team and was a member of many prestigious honors societies while earning USTFCCCA Academic All-American honors and CoSida Academic All-American honors.  Favre graduated in 2013 with a degree in biology/physical therapy and currently resides in Saddle Brook, NJ. She is a PhD candidate at Rutgers University- Newark Health Sciences Campus and will be defending her thesis on May 23rd of this year. She works as an adjunct at the College where she has been teaching an Anatomy & Physiology Lab section since January 2018.
