During the 2001-2004 seasons, Jamie Anzaldi was making her mark as one of the best players to come through the Ramapo College softball program.  She helped lead her team to impressive 121-47 overall, and 55-17 conference records, including a perfect 18-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference in 2003.  That season, Anzaldi’s junior year, the team reached many milestones climbing all the way to the NCAA East Region Tournament. Although a heartbreaking end to one of the best seasons in Ramapo’s history, the 2003 softball team had much to be proud of including a 27 game winning streak, the best overall (33-7) and conference records in school history, and a 1st place regular season finish in one of the most prestigious conferences in the states. The Roadrunners hosted the NJAC tournament, as well as the NCAA East Region tournament, receiving #1 seeds in both. Their NCAA East Region appearance was the first in school history.  In 2004, the softball team continued their winning ways combining efforts for another successful season.  They broke their own record from 2003 for the best overall record in history (35-8), while again finishing in 1st place in the regular season.

Individually, Anzaldi holds an impressive 67-17 career overall record from the mound, #1 on the all-time leader board.  She stands at #1 in career strikeouts with 464, while holding the #1 spot in strikeouts in a season with 147 in 2002.  In 2004 and 2002, Anzaldi recorded record-breaking wins in a season with 21 and 20 respectively.  She pitched over 65 complete games, earned 35 shut outs, and recorded another record-breaking statistic with a 0.51 ERA in 2004.  In her career she was named Most Valuable Player, 1st Team All-ECAC, NJAC 1st Team All-Conference, NFCA 1st Team All-Region, NCAA 2nd Team All-America, NCAA East Region All-Tournament Team, NJAC Pitcher of the Year, and All-American East Region 1st Team.  She also received the RCNJ Woman Athlete of the Year award in 2004 and earned Dean’s List honors in 2005.

Anzaldi currently resides and works in Clifton as a kindergarten teacher at School 13.  She
graduated from Ramapo in 2005 with a Communications degree and a certification in elementary education.
