Craig Van Leeuwen was the 2011 NCAA Pole Vault Indoor Champion, a three-time NCAA Track & Field All-American, and a three-time USTFCCCA Regional Athlete of the Year. He holds both indoor and outdoor pole vault program records at Ramapo, with his indoor mark of 5.32 meters (17'7.5") ranking ninth on the NCAA Division III all-time list and his outdoor record of 5.26 meters (17'3") ranking 15th all time.

Van Leeuwen also rewrote the New Jersey Athletic Conference pole vault record books and continues to hold the conference’s indoor and outdoor all-time records, we well as the NJAC Indoor and Outdoor Championship Meet Records. He was a two-time NJAC Indoor Track & Field Outstanding Field Athlete, NJAC Champion and First Team All-Conference selection and earned the same honors twice during the outdoor season.

Van Leeuwen graduated in 2012 with a degree in accounting.  He is married to fellow Ramapo alum and track standout, Linda, and together they have three children, Julia, Shaelagh and Reagan, with another baby expected in May 2026.  He currently resides in Wayne and works as an accountant for Holland & Company in Cedar Grove.
