Hall of Fame
Joseph Duffy was a standout center with the Ramapo College football program for four years. He transferred to the College from Millersville State College, an NCAA Division II program, where he worked his way into a starting role with the junior varsity team as a freshman. Before attending Millersville, Duffy was the offensive center of the 1973 Lyndhurst High School State Championship Team becoming a key component in Coach Perrone’s successful offensive scheme. The separation from family and friends brought Duffy to Mahwah where he became the final part of what was to become an outstanding offensive line. Duffy’s exceptional athleticism and skill set not only helped pave the way for the 1977 playoff run which led to a bowl victory, but it was the base of the 1978 NCFA Championship and the programs movement to NCAA Division III status in 1981. He served as team captain during his final season with the program in 1980 and graduated from Ramapo with a bachelors of arts degree in business administration in 1981.
Duffy serves as the president of Campbell Fire Protection Inc. in Suffern, New York. He currently resides in Mahwah with his wife Geralyn and their youngest daughter Angela, while their oldest, Christie, lives in Hoboken.
