Hall of Fame
Kathleen Finnegan is in her 16th year at Ramapo serving as the associate athletic director, academic advisor, and senior woman’s administrator.  During her career, she has served as interim athletic director and has founded and advised Chi Alpha Sigma, a student-athlete honors society. Finnegan, a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Omicron Delta Kappa and Who’s Who, was a 2001 recipient of the President’s Staff Leadership award. In 2008, she received the Outstanding Associate Athletic Director Award from the All-American Football Foundation and on six occasions she was awarded the College’s Outstanding Service Award. Presently Finnegan serves as the golf advisor and is an adjunct professor.
From 1984-1998, Finnegan served as the head coach of the softball program. She led the team to the ECAC Championship tournament five times, won the NJAC Blue Division Conference on seven occasions, while earning the WIAC Conference title during six seasons. Finnegan was named NJAC Coach of the Year in 1991, WIAC Coach of the Year four times and was a member of the 1992 Coaches All-Regional Team.
Finnegan is a 1980 graduate of the College where she earned a bachelors of science degree in business administration and political science with a concentration in law. She earned her masters in business from NJIT before obtaining a NACDA Graduate Certification in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy. She currently resides in Harriman, NY.
