Chuck McBreen has been at the helm of the men’s basketball team since the 1998-1999 season and just wrapped up his 21st with the Roadrunners.  He was hired as the first ever full-time basketball coach here at the College and has turned the program into a highly competitive play–off team both locally in the New Jersey Athletic Conference and nationally in the NCAA. In 11 of his 21 seasons, the men's basketball program has appeared in the D3hoops.com Top 25 National ranking.  During his tenure the Roadrunners have recorded more than 385 wins overall and 210 in the NJAC, and have made 14 appearances in the NJAC Tournament.  Ramapo won the NJAC Championship five times under McBreen while earning three NJAC Regular Season Championships.  Most notably, McBreen has led Ramapo to eight appearances in NCAA Tournament including two trips to the Sweet 16 and one trip each to the Elite Eight and the Final Four.  Last season, McBreen was named MET Writer’s Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year and fifth time overall, just a small notch in his impressive resume.  In his 21 years, he has been named Ramapo College Coach of the Year in both basketball and tennis. In 2002-2003 and 2004-2005 he was named NJAC and NABC Atlantic Region Coach of the Year and in 2002-2003, McBreen set school records for overall wins, 26, conference wins, 17, and consecutive wins, 17. In 2016-2017 McBreen was named Atlantic Region Coach of the Year by NABC, D3hoops.com and ECAC Metro Region Coach of the Year.  He also took home NJAC Coach of the Year honors, his third during his tenure (02-03, 04-05, 16-17).  McBreen also serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and currently resides in Hillsdale with his wife Gina.  He is a 1988 graduate of Towson State University with degrees in physical education, driver’s education and health.
