Corey Brown was a four-year member of the men’s basketball team beginning with the 1997-1998 season. He wrapped up his collegiate career at Ramapo after the 2000-2001 season which proved to be his most outstanding year. During his senior season, Brown was awarded Ramapo College Male Athlete of the Year, NJAC 2nd Team All-Conference, and MET Writers All-Conference. That same season he was named the team’s Most Valuable Player as he helped lead the Roadrunners to the NJAC Tournament with 21 wins, 12 in conference play. Brown finished his career with 967 points with an average 50% shooting percentage. He sits on the all-time records list for career rebounds with 358, and spent time as captain during his career. Brown played in more than 2,500 minutes on the court. After graduating in 2001 with a degree in business finance, he spent one season as an assistant men’s basketball coach under Chuck McBreen. He currently serves as the Manager of Financial Systems with World and Main, LLC and resides in Roselle Park with his wife Atiya and his two step-daughters Teairrah and Tionna.
