MCHALE NAMED FIELD HOCKEY HEAD COACH

Mahwah, NJ:  Ramapo College Athletic Director Jan Koslowsky is excited to announce the hiring of Rachel McHale as the new Head Field Hockey Coach. McHale steps into the role as the program's first-ever full-time head coach.

Coach McHale is no stranger to the NJAC, as she recently wrapped up a season on the coaching staff with Montclair State University, where she assisted with game-day strategy, designed practice plans, and recruited with a focus on talent identification. As a head coach of the Falcon Field Hockey Club, McHale guided her teams at National Showcase Tournaments, including Shooting Star and the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Winter Escape.

"I am very excited to announce that Rachel McHale will serve as our first-ever full-time Head Field Hockey Coach.  Coach McHale brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience, working and playing with athletes at all levels.  Her commitment to the sport, organizational skills, and dedication to building a program of well-rounded student-athletes showed during the interview process.  I look forward to seeing Rachel grow in this position, as well as watching her build a program that is respected both on and off the field.  This is a great addition for the field hockey program now and into the future!" said Koslowsky.

McHale graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University in December 2023 with a degree in Hospitality Management & Event Planning. As a student-athlete at FDU she appeared in 52 games and was a two-year captain. She also played one season at Wagner College.

"I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity of being a part of the Roadrunner community, one that prioritizes hard work, academics, and community. This team has a great foundation of what an NJAC field hockey team needs to be successful, and I feel blessed to work with the student-athletes, helping them to achieve their goals and bring this team to the next level", said McHale.

The Roadrunners will open the 2025 season at home on Saturday, August 30th, at 5:00 PM against Albertus Magnus College. The team will go up against eight non-conference opponents before opening up NJAC play on Saturday, October 4th, against Montclair State University on the road at noon.
