Mahwah, NJ: The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced the 2021 ECAC Division III Field Hockey tournament field on Monday. The ECAC named Ramapo College as the top overall seed of the tournament. The Roadrunners are making their second overall appearance in the tournament, their first since the 2011.
The first 150 Ramapo students at the game will get in FREE with valid RCNJ ID card. Tickets will be $5 for adults and $2 for students/senior citizens.
Ramapo, who are also the #1 seed in Pod 1, will host one first-round game on Wednesday at the Athletic Center Turf Field. The Roadrunners will take on #4 Sweet Briar College at 2:30pm. The Vixens enter the tournament field with a 13-8 overall record and are led by three offensively by Brynna Hughes who has 40 points this season including 15 goals and 10 assists. Avery Jones also has 15 goals this season along with three assists while Brigitte Gorman has posted 11 goals and five assists.
The Roadrunners are led by
Victoria Docherty who has a team leading 22 goals along with 11 assists for a team high 55 points. She's recorded five game-winning goals and has inserted a team high 156 penalty corners.
Mariah Tovar leads the team with 13 assists while she adds six goals for 25 points while
Talitha Joustra is second on the team with nine goals and seven assists for 26 points.
Maggie Farrell has contributed with seven goals and seven assists for 21 points.
Michelle Kukan has logged over 1050 minutes in the cage for Ramapo this season with a team high 71 saves while she's posted three shutouts and faced 161 shots.
The second half of the bracket and host site for the semifinal and championship games will be determined following the completion of the games on Wednesday.
