Danbury, CT: The WestConn field hockey team defeated Ramapo College tonight in non-conference action, 4-0 The Wolves improve to 5-4 overall while the Roadrunners move to 3-3 on the season.
WestConn got on the board early when Madison Preston scored just 1:11 into the game before the Wolves added two goals in the second quarter to take a 3-0 lead into halftime. Kayla Rotella-White and Grace Gundeck each found the back of the net for WestConn. The Wolves added their final goal in the fourth quarter when Jaelyn Moulton converted a penalty stroke for the 4-0 final.
WestConn held a 17-7 advantage in shots, including 13-7 in shots on goal, while the Wolves held a slight 5-4 edge in penalty corners.

Olivia Wintrode split time in goal for the Roadrunners, combining for nine saves.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, Sept. 26th when they host Delaware Valley University in a non-conference game at 12pm at the Athletic Center Turf. The Roadrunners will honor their senior class in a pre-game ceremony.Â
