Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Clermont, FL:  The Ramapo College softball team fell to the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire (11-1) today, 3-2 before they came back in game two to defeat the University of Wisconsin Stout (10-4), 1-0. The Roadrunners even their overall record to 5-5.

In the first game, he Blugold's scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the first inning before the Roadrunners came back to tie the game in the top of the second inning. Rookie Erin Withersoon reach on an infield error to lead off the inning before senior Lisa Orlando ripped a double down the right field line to put runners at second and third with no outs. Senior Kelsey Higgins drove them both home with a hard hit single to center field to tie the game at two all.

The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the seventh when the Bluegolds scored the game winning run for the 3-2 win. Pinch hitter Abby Hansen led off the inning with a bunt single and stole second base before Jenny Hess lined a single to right field allowing Hansen to touch home plate just ahead of the throw home for the victory.

Junior Nicole Schneider went the distance for Ramapo on the mound, she struck out one and walking two. She scattered five hits over six innings of work while giving up three runs, one earned.

In game two against the University of Wisconsin-Stout the Roadrunners got on the board in the bottom of the third inning to take a 1-0 lead. Junior Jaclyn Lima knocked home pinch runner rookie Tess Sala with a single to left field. Sophomore Taylor Boffalo ripped a single to lead off the inning before being replaced by Sala. Sala stole second base before coming around to score on Lima's single.

Junior Harley Masiello (3-1) fired a complete game shutout, striking out two and scattering three hits.

Ramapo returns to action when they travel to non-conference rival Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday, March 27th beginning at 3:00pm.
