Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The William Paterson University field hockey team defeated Ramapo College today at the Athletic Center turf Field, 3-0.
The Roadrunners now stand at 0-12 overall and 0-3 in the NJAC while the Pioneers improve to 9-6 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
Senior Brianne Cox put the Pioneers up 1-0 in the first half, when she scored in the 15th minute of the game. Cox would then score in the 63rd minute of the game (62:03) off a pass from junior Courtnaey Chelf following a WPU penalty corner. Cox now has a team leading 16 goals on the year.
The Pioneers scored again (63:11) when senior Jessica Nendze took a pass from Angelica Giammetta to extend their lead to, 3-0.
WPU posted 18 shots in the game to Ramapo's zero. The Pioneers also recorded 13 penalty corners in the game.
The Roadrunners return to action on October 22nd when they travel to NJAC rival TCNJ for a 7pm game.
