Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team defeated NJAC rival Kean University, 2-1 in overtime today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners improve to 2-3 overall, 1-1 in the NJAC while the Cougars fall to 4-6 overall, 0-2 in the NJAC.

Victoria Ahlers notched her first goal of the season off a pass from senior
Katie Bruno when the Roadrunners were awarded a penalty corner. The goal came just 9:12 into the first half.
The Cougars tied the game in the 28th minute as they capitalized off a penalty corner of their own. Marissa Robinson took a pass from Clair Keenan to tie the score at one.
In the second half, Ramapo was awarded a penalty stroke with 2:24 to go in the game and could not convert sending the game into overtime.

Katie Bruno took a shot that was saved before rookie
Alex Polizzo was able to get her stick on the rebound and rip a shot into the back of the net for the game winning goal for the Roadrunners, 2-1 (75:53).

Rebecca Elliott tallied 15 saves in the win for Ramapo. Kean out shot the Roadrunners 27-6 and held a 23-4 advantage in penalty corners.
Ramapo returns to action on September 28th when they travel to Keystone College for a 7pm game.
