Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team played host to NJAC rival Montclair State University today in Mahwah. The Roadrunners falling to 0-4 in the NJAC and 5-8 overall while the Red Hawks stand at 3-2 in the NJAC and 10-3 overall.
The Red Hawks got on the board in the final seconds of the first half as Jen Tanis (Oak Ridge, NJ) hit the back of the net on a pass from Kristen Swartz (Hatboro, PA) to put Montclair State on top 1-0. With that goal Tanis broke the all-time career scoring record at Montclair State with 89 points breaking the previous record of 87 points held by Sarah Levine who played at Montclair State from 2000-2003.

Jenna Feminello (Clark, NJ) stopped seven shots and Montclair State keeper Jacquie Supko (Moorestown, NJ) stopped 5 shots. Ramapo took an edge in corners with three while Montclair State had one in the first half.
In the second half, Tanis recorded her second goal of the game, 17th of the season, as she connected with Swartz again to put Montclair State up 2-0. The lead would hold as the Red Hawks picked up their 10th win of the season.
Supko earned the shutout with seven saves on the day while Feminello recorded ten saves of her own.
The Roadrunners return to action on October 21st when they travel to play Houghton for a 2:00 PM start.
