Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's field hockey team played host to the Rangers of Drew University today at the Athletic Center posting a 3-1 loss. Ramapo fell to 3-4 while Drew improved to 5-3 for the year.

In the first half of play, Drew University opened to a 1-0 lead just over two minutes into the game when sophomore Becky Steinhilber (Pine Beach , NJ ) hit the back of the cage scoring her first goal of the year. Junior Brittany Westcott (Margate, NJ) gave the Rangers a 2-0 edge at 45:14, unassisted and senior Colleen Mahon (Shavertown, PA) added insurance at 62:45 off a cross from Ellen Balkovec (Lower Gwynned, PA) defeating the Roadrunners, 3-1 in Mahwah.

Ramapo's goal was scored by JAMIE MAZUROWSKI (Sayreville , NJ ) assisted by LINDSAY HELLWIG (Budd Lake , NJ ) at 65:54.

Sophomore goalkeeper KATELYN FERGUSON (Sussex , NJ) recorded three saves while Tara Connelly (Lincoln Park , NJ ) grabbed one in the victory.

The Roadrunners will travel to William Paterson on Tuesday, September 28th at 7:00 PM .
