Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team fell to the Pioneers of William Paterson University today at the Athletic Center, 3-0. Ramapo now stands at 1-5 overall while William Paterson posts their 11th win of the season improving to 11-2.

William Paterson took 28 shots in the game, 24 in the first half, and they held Ramapo for the entire game to no shots. Deanna Wall (Oaklyn, NJ) posted the winning goal 14 minutes into the game off a cross from sophomore Mindy Coxe (Gloucester, NJ). Brandy Petrongolo (Sewell, NJ) gave the Pioneers a 2-0 lead at 25:34, unassisted and Heidi Koenig (Brielle, NJ) added an insurance goal with 00:43 left in the first half. Erica Riley (Bloomsbury, NJ) earned the assist.

KATELYN FERGUSON (Sussex, NJ) and ELANA STEINFELD (Westwood, NJ) shared time in front of the net combining for 20 saves.

The Roadrunners will travel to Wilson College tomorrow at 4:00 PM.
