Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's outdoor track and field team competed in the Last Chance Twilight Meet tonight at the Athletic Center.
Christian Iriaka won the 400m race in 49.41 seconds while
Andrew Bermudez posted a season best time of 51.69 seconds to finish seventh and
Jorge Gomez Garza finished eighth in 52.12 seconds for a new personal best time.
Brian Metz won the 1,500m race with a personal best time of 4:09.68. In the 400m hurdles, the Roadrunners grabbed the top five finishes in the race. Matthew Suero won with a time of 54.40 seconds while
Robert Cassavell placed second (55.53 seconds),
Colin Unis finished third (56.20 seconds),
Sebastian Broncano finished fourth (58.54 seconds) and
Kaison Kinery placed fifth with a personal best time of 1:00.18. In the 100m dash,
Wander Dilone clocked in at 10.88 seconds to grab third place while Sam Thomas finished in fourth place in 10.91 seconds while
Kevin Ortiz posted a personal best time of 11.09 seconds to finish in sixth place.
Logan Natale placed fifth in the 200m dash in 22.12 seconds while
Jordan Hart posted a personal best time of 22.42 seconds to finish sixth overall. In the 800m race,
Ryan Pena finished in third place with a season best time of 1:56.05 while
John Swaney clocked in with a personal best time of 1:56.57 for a fourth-place finish.
Sebastian Herrera also recorded a personal best time of 1:56.77 to finish in fifth place while
Julian Mignone added a personal best time of 1:59.70 to place ninth overall. In the field events,
Zal Charles won the high jump when he cleared 1.83m while Massino Balestrieri and
Ben Zelasco tied for second place in the pole vault as they cleared 3.05m. In the long jump,
Sebastiano Secades finished in fifth place when he posted a mark of 5.93m.
The 4x400m relay team made up of Cassavell, Gomez Garza, Pena and Swaney won the race with a combined time of 3:25.91. The 4x800m relay team posted a combined time of 8:40.42 to finish in second place overall.
The Roadrunners will return to action on Monday, May 11th when they travel to Widener University for the Widener Last Chance Meet beginning at 10:00am.
