Poughkeepsie, NY:  The Ramapo College men's outdoor track and field team competed at the Vassar Spring Invite this afternoon hosted by Vassar College.

Sebastian Herrera posted a personal best time in the 800m race in 1:57.69 for a second-place finish. Ryan Pena clocked in at 1:59.11 to grab fifth while Julian Mignone placed 10th overall in 2:02.00. Mark Shinkorenko placed third overall in the 100m dash in 11.47 seconds. In the 400m dash, Christian Iriaka posted a personal best time of 50.84 seconds for a third-place finish while Sebastian Broncano also posted a personal best time of 55.70 seconds. In the 1,500m race, Shyami Craig placed 11th overall (4:11.67) while Brian Metz (4:15.49) and Jose Espinal (4:22.38) each posted personal best times in the race. In the high jump, Benjamin Zelasco won the event when he cleared 1.82m while Zal Charles finished in second in 1.77m and Anthony Sileo grabbed a fifth-place finish in 1.67m. All three Roadrunners who competed in the long jump posted season best marks. Zelasco (6.21m) finished in fifth place, Sebastiano Secades finished in sixth-place (6.07m) and Sileo posted a mark of 4.97m. The 4x100m relay team made up of Bryan Tucker, Ishmael Koroma, Niko Kostopoulos and Shinkorenko placed third overall with a combined time of 44.77 seconds.

The team will return to action on May 2nd and 3rd as Ramapo College hosts the 2026 NJAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Athletic Center. More information click here.
