Mahwah, NJ: The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced the 2026 NJAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference teams this afternoon. All-Conference honors were determined by finish at the recent NJAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship and major awards were voted on by the league's nine head coaches.
Ben Zelasco earned NJAC Second Team All-Conference when he finished as NJAC Runner-Up at the championship meet in the decathlon. He finished with a school record 5,958 points. He finished first in the high jump when he cleared 1.92-meters, 400m dash (50.56 seconds), second in the 100m dash (11.56 seconds), long jump (6.21-meters), shot put (11.23-meters), 110m hurdles (15.59 seconds) and the 1500m race (4:56.88), third in the pole vault when he cleared 3.60-meters and javelin throw (36.96-meters) while he finished fourth in the discus throw (24.92-meters).
Samuel Thomas earned NJAC First Team All-Conference in the 200m dash when he won with a personal best time of 21.11 seconds. He earned NJAC Second Team All-Conference in the 100m dash, earning NJAC Runner Up in 10.54 seconds. Both times are second all-time in program history.
Ryan Pena earned NJAC Honorable Mention All-Conference in the 1500m run when he clocked in at 3:59 flat for a third-place finish at the championships.
The 4x100m relay team earned NJAC Second Team All-Conference after posting a new school record time of 41.02 seconds to finish second overall at the championships. The team was made up of
Wander Dilone,
Samuel Thomas,
Kevin Ortiz and
Darnel Romain. The 4x400m relay team also earned NJAC Second Team All-Conference with a combined time of 3:15 flat, finishing second at the championships in a highly contested race. The team was made up of
Logan Natale,
Jordan Hart,
Jaycen Peterson, and
Christian Iriaka.
