Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's outdoor track and field team competed in day one of the 2026 NJAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships today at the Athletic Center and North Field.
Benjamin Zelasco sits in first place in the decathlon with 3,452 points. He grabbed a first-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.92m a new personal best. He also placed first in the 400m race in 50.56 seconds. He finished second in the 100m dash (11.56 seconds), long jump (6.21m) and the shot put (11.23m).
Jordan Hart posted the top finish in the prelims of the 400m in 48.44 to qualify for the finals tomorrow afternoon.
Logan Natale and
Jaycen Peterson also moved onto the finals tomorrow afternoon with a fourth-place (48.91 seconds) and sixth-place (49.12 seconds) finish respectively. In the 100m dash prelims,
Samuel Thomas clocked in at 10.70 seconds to place third and advance to the finals while
Wander Dilone will also move onto tomorrow's final with a seventh-place finish in 10.84 seconds.
Matt Suero clocked in at 54.35 seconds in the 400m hurdles to finish seventh overall and advance to the finals. Thomas will also compete in the finals of the 200m dash as he finished the prelims in fourth place with a time of 21.55 seconds. In the hammer throw,
Braden Holm posted a mark of 45.87m for a fourth-place finish while
Kevin Ortiz posted a mark of 6.83m in the long jump to finish in sixth place.
The 2025 NJAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships return to action tomorrow morning at 10:00am.Â
