Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's outdoor track & field team opened the season today at home as they hosted the Ramapo Invitational with all three NCAA divisions and junior colleges competing.
Nick Palmadesso won the javelin with a new personal best mark of 48.29m.
Braden Holm placed fifth in the shot put with a personal best mark of 14.30m while
Alexander Riba finished 10th with a throw of 11.91m.
Ryan Pena placed second overall in the 5k when he crossed the finish line in 15:08.30. Two other Roadrunners grabbed two ten finishes as
Julian Mignone placed fifth in with a personal best of 15:48.42 and
Mohamed Nidaazzi finished seventh in 15:49.57.
Jose Espinal clocked in at 16:58.50 for a 12th place finish while James Stanton finished 13th overall in 17:01.16, each recording personal bests.
The Roadrunners return to action tomorrow as the Ramapo Invitational heads into day two. The throwing events begin at 9am at North Field while the running events begin at 11am at the Athletic Center.
