Langhorne, PA: The Ramapo College men's soccer team moved to 2-1 overall with a 2-1 victory over Cairn University tonight in non-conference action. The Highlanders move to 1-2 on the year.
Kyle Allen scored off a free-kick just 3:01 into the first half to put the Roadrunners on the board. Jesse Brittain posted his third goal of the season in the 25th minute (24:11) to even the score, 1-1. The score would hold until the second half when Allen one again hit the back of the net. Jack Hosmer bounced off a Cairn defender as Allen collected and scored (58:07) the eventual game-winner, 2-1. This was Allen's third goal of the season.
Cairn held a 6-5 edge in shots on goal in the game while the Roadrunners tallied a game high eight corner kicks. Cairn recorded three in the game. Ramapo's
Nikolai Matthews posted four saves in the game while Xander Jakeway posted three for the Highlanders.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 11th on the road at Western Connecticut State University in a non-conference game at 7pm.
