Williamsport, PA: The Ramapo College men's soccer team earned a 1-0 non-conference road win over Penn College this afternoon. The Roadrunners improve to 3-2-1 overall while the Wildcats move to 3-3-2 on the year.
Following a scoreless first half,
Lucas Mielnikiewicz put the Roadrunners on the board in the 65th minute of action.
Dylan Perez slipped a pass to Mielnikiewicz, who found the back of the net for his first goal of the season and a 1-0 Ramapo lead.
The Roadrunner defense held Penn College scoreless the rest of the way as
Zachary Natt recorded four saves in the shutout victory. Ramapo held a 7-6 edge in shots, while each team tallied four shots on goal. The Roadrunners also held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks. Mielnikiewicz led Ramapo with three shots on goal while
Leo Mandile added one.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 23 when they host Saint Elizabeth University in a non-conference game at 3:30pm.Â
