Mahwah, NJ: The Oneonta field hockey team defeated Ramapo College 3-1 in a non-conference road game today at the Athletic Center. The Red Dragons improve to 6-3 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-7 on the year.

Eliana Momm scored her second goal of the season off an assist from
Jesslyn Patricia to put the Roadrunners on the board, 1-0. Ramapo held the lead heading into halftime.

In the third quarter the Red Dragons took a 2-1 lead by scoring two unanswered goals. Molly Miller scored her fourth goal of the season (33:02) before Skyler Van Wormer collected her sixth goal of the year (38:00) to put Oneonta up by one. In the fourth, Oneonta scored an insurance goal when Olivia Bonelli tallied her second goal of the season to extend the score, 3-1.

The Red Dragons posted 14 shots on goal in the game which led to 11 saves for Ramapo netminder
Michelle Kukan. Oneonta also posted 17 penalty corners to Ramapo's two. Maura Leib tallied two saves in goal for the Red Dragons.

The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, October 2nd when they host Eastern University in non-conference action at 6pm.Â
