Mahwah, NJ: The Eastern University field hockey team used a strong third quarter to defeat Ramapo College 2-0 in non-conference action. The Eagles improve to 5-4 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-8 on the year.

Neither team found the back of the net in the first half of the game before Eastern scored two goals in the third quarter. Abby Hakes tallied her second goal of the season off a pass from Kara Frantz to put the Eagles on the board in the 38th minute (37:42). Karlee Howard would collect her own rebound as she found the back of the cage on her second shot (39:33), her fifth goal of the season, to extend the lead, 2-0. The Eagle defense and Angelina Catania kept Ramapo off the board as the Roadrunners held an 11-8 advantage in shots on goal in the game. Catania posted 11 saves in the win for Eastern. Ramapo's
