Danbury, CT: The Ramapo College field hockey team posted a 4-0 shutout tonight on the road at Western Connecticut State University. The Roadrunners move to 3-8 overall while the Wolves drop to 5-8 overall.

The Roadrunners, who snapped a two-game skid, scored one goal in the second and three in the final quarter of action.
Victoria Chavez put Ramapo on the board in the second quarter with 21:10 on the clock off an assist from
Juliana Mikulski, 1-0. The score would remain through the third quarter before
Allison Tanasy hit the back of the net in the fourth. Tanasy's goal would come in the 49th minute (48:27) before Chavez scored her team leading 5th goal of the year in the 52nd minute (51:19) to push the score, 3-0. Tanasy would earn the assist on the team's final goal to extend the lead to 4-0 as
Ana Plaia hit the back of the net in the 55th minute (55:49).

Ramapo held an 11-6 advantage in shots on goal in the game along with a game high eight penalty corners.
Michelle Kukan posted six saves in the shutout victory for the Roadrunners.

The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 12th when they travel to Rowan University for a NJAC game at 6pm.
