New Haven, CT: The Ramapo College field hockey team opened the season today with a 7-1 victory over Albertus Magnus. Six different Roadrunners scored in the victory as Ramapo opened the season at 1-0 overall.
Victoria Chavez got the Roadrunners on the board just over two minutes into the game off a double assist from
Juliana Mikulski and
Kayla Gray while
Jesslyn Patricia put Ramapo ahead 2-0 with an unassisted goal just under six minutes into the game.
Albertus Magnus would close the gap with a goal seven minutes later before Chavez struck again giving Ramapo the 3-1 advantage at 16:42.
Tessa Pofahl,
Ana Plaia,
Allison Tanasy, and
Madison Soricelli each collected a goal of their own in the season opener to defeat Albertus Magnus, 7-1.
Ramapo outshot Albertus Magnus, 22-2 and
Michelle Kukan made one save in the net for Ramapo in the complete game.
Ramapo returns to action on August 31
st as they host Stevens Institute at 1pm at the Athletic Center.
