STEFKOVICH NAMED HEAD COACH OF FIELD HOCKEY AND WOMEN’S LACROSSE

Mahwah, NJ:  Ramapo College Director of Athletics, Jan Koslowsky, has announced the hiring of Kelsie Stefkovich as the head coach of both the field hockey and the women's lacrosse teams.

Stefkovich spent the 2023 fall season as the Interim Head Coach of the field hockey team and the 2024 spring season as the Assistant Coach of the women's lacrosse team. Coach Stefkovich will look to continue to build both programs on last year's successes and to be competitive in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

"I am excited for Kelsie to return as not only our Head Field Hockey Coach but as our Head Women's Lacrosse Coach as well.  Her passion and hard work has shown during her time at Ramapo as well as her desire to embrace the student-athlete experience, while ensuring the culture she instills is in line with the overall culture of the athletic department.  Her experience as a player and a coach will help her excel as we move forward with our programs," says Koslowsky.

Coach Stefkovich says, "It is an absolute honor to be named the head coach for both Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse at Ramapo College. I would like to thank the Administration for their ongoing belief in me and for the opportunity to lead both programs. I went into coaching because I loved the opportunity to serve others and create a positive impact. During my time as Interim Head Field Hockey Coach and Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach, it was evident that this is what drove the Roadrunners Athletic Department."

"Each program is unique in their own ways, but both are made up of incredibly dedicated student-athletes with a common desire to reach their full potential both on and off the field. I hope to empower them as they become not only skill competitors, but also confident, resilient, and compassionate young women who are prepared to lead and make a positive impact within their families, communities, and workplaces."

The field hockey team opens the 2024 season on Friday, August 30th on the road at Albertus Magnus College before returning home on Saturday, August 31st for a 1pm matchup against Stevens at the Athletic Center Turf.  Click here for the full field hockey schedule.
