New York, NY: The Ramapo College men's indoor track and field team opened up the 2024-2025 season at the TCNJ Winter Open today at the NY Armory. The meet was hosted by the College of New Jersey.
Kevin Ortiz posted a 4th place finish in the 60m dash in 7.05 seconds which is now the 8th on the program's top 10 list. In the prelims of the 60m hurdles,
Ndubuisi Okeh crossed the finish line in 8.91 seconds, which is now 7th on program's top 10 list. Also, in the prelims of the 60m hurdles,
Owen Usinowicz posted a time of 9.03 seconds which is 8th on the top 10 list.
In the 300m race, the Roadrunners had three top 10 finishes.
Jordan Hart placed 5th overall in 35.44 seconds, which is now 2nd on the program's top 10 list.
Terrell Lockett finished 7th in 35.98 seconds which lowered his all-time best and his time is now 4th on the top 10 list.
Anthony Gentile finished 9th in 36.64 seconds while his time is 9th on the top 10 list.
George Losche placed 4th overall in the 1000m race with a time of 2:47.66 while two Roadrunners finished in the top 10 of the mile run.
Michael Mohr grabbed a 2nd place finish in the race as he posted a time of 4:33.45 while
Julian Mignone was right behind him in 3rd place in 4:34.04.
In the field, Ortiz recorded a 6th place finish in the long jump when a mark of 6.16m. In the shot put,
Alexander Riba recorded a mark of 12.54m for a 10th place finish. In the high jump,
Anthony Sileo posted a 7th place finish clearing 1.77m. To wrap up the meet, the 4x400 team finished 3rd overall with a combined time of 3:27.06. The team was made up of
Mark Shinkorenko, Lockett,
Logan Natale and
Jordan Hart.
The Roadrunners return to the track in 2025 when they host the Ramapo Season Opener at the NY Armory on January 17th.
