Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team earned a 4-0 non-conference win over Western Connecticut State University tonight at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners move to 2-4 overall while the Wolves even their record to 4-4 overall.

Ramapo wasted no time in putting up the first goal in the game when
Ana Plaia scored her first goal of the season off an assist from
Kayla Gray in the 3rd minute (2:26) of the game.
Julianna Gentilucci posted her second goal of the year off a pass from
Morgan Trotter to put the Roadrunners up 2-0 in the 5th (4:56) minute of action. In the 9th minute,
Victoria Chavez scored her first goal of the year to push the Ramapo lead, 3-0. Ramapo posted their final goal of the game in the fourth quarter when
Sarah Ippolito tallied her first goal of the year off a pass from Gentilucci, 4-0. Ramapo held an 11-3 advantage in shots on goal in the game while they posted 12 penalty corners to the Wolves four.

Michelle Kukan tallied three saves in the game for Ramapo in the win. Kayla Hnasko posted seven saves for WestConn.

Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, September 30th when they travel to SUNY Oneonta for a non-conference game at 2:00 PM.
