Wilkes-Barre, PA: The Ramapo College field hockey team earned their third straight victory in a 2-0 blanking of Wilkes University tonight on the road. The Roadrunners improve to 7-2 on the season while Colonels now stand at 2-6 overall.
In the first quarter,
Chloe Heller posted the first goal of the game and her second of the season to put Ramapo on the board, 1-0.
Clare Nugent earned the assist with 7:59 on the clock, her fourth of the season.
Mariah Tovar scored her fourth goal (46:31) of the season in the fourth quarter off an assist from
Maggie Farrell to extend the Roadrunner lead, 2-0.
Ramapo recorded 31 shots and 21 on goal as Wilkes goalie, Carly Eidle tallied 18 saves in the game. Roadrunner goalie
Michelle Kukan did not need to make a save in the game.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 1st when they host NJAC rival Montclair State University at the Athletic Center Turf field at 1pm.
