Max Dubac of the Ramapo College men's indoor track and field team set a new school record tonight at the Seahawk Shootout hosted by Wagner College. The meet took place at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Dubac set the new program record in the 600-meter dash when he clocked in at 1:21.84 as he finished in 8th place overall.
Ryan Pena posted a time of 1:23.92 in the same event and finished 11th.
Kenyon Fenderson posted a time of 7.16 seconds in the 60-meter dash while
Terrell Lockett and
Jason Potterton clocked in with times of 7.41 seconds and 7.92 seconds respectively.
Saim Syed recorded a time of 38.09 seconds in the 300-meter race while
Colin Unis posted a time of 38.23 in the same event. In the 1k race,
George Losche finished 14th overall with a time of 2:43.49 while
Anthony Bertollo finished in 16th place in 2:44.51.
Ian McCauley (13th place) and
Jason Mercado (15th place) competed in the 3k run with times of 9:14.79 and 9:20.52 respectively.
Justin Martone crossed the finish line in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.16 seconds, which is 9th all-time at Ramapo while
Matt Suero posted a time of 9.62 seconds.
In the field events, Potterton placed 13th overall when he posted a mark of 12.20-meters (40' 0.5") in the triple jump.
Zach Hartung grabbed a 5th place finish in the shot put with a mark of 13.92-meters (45' 8"), which is 9th on the all-time list at Ramapo. Braden Holm posted a mark of 11.59-meters (38' 0.25") while
Thomas Dardis recorded a mark of 11.55-meters (37' 10.75") and
Michael Ramos recorded a mark of 11.54-meters (37' 10.5"). In the weight throw,
Sebastian Pross placed 7th overall when he posted a throw of 15.06-meters (49' 5") which is 4th on the all-time list at Ramapo. Holm recorded a mark of 12.48-meters (40' 11.5").
The 4x400-meter relay team, made up of Dubac, Fenderson,
Cheickna Traore and Lockett, finished in 5th place with a combined time of 3:23.30.
The Roadrunners return to action on January 14th, 2023 when they travel to the New York Armory for the Lions Indoor Invitational hosted by the College of New Jersey. The meet is slated to begin at 5pm.
