Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team has been picked to finish tied for sixth in the
2021 NJAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced today by the league office.

The Roadrunners, who are led by fifth-year head coach
Jennifer Tafro, played in the NJAC Championship game for the first time in program history in the spring of 2021 where they earned NJAC Runner-Up. "I'm extremely excited for this season as we have the majority of our starting group from 2019 back. They now are juniors and seniors with more experience and leadership which has shaped the team culture to what it is today", coach Tafro.

During the 2019 season,
Mariah Tovar led the team with seven goals and three assists for a team high 17 points while
Victoria Docherty and
Angela Oskierko each collected five and four goals respectively.
Maggie Farrell led the Roadrunners with seven assists while she added one goal for nine points while Emily Riccardi and
Clare Nugent helped lead the team on defense.

Coach Tafro has her eyes set on two newcomers to make an immediate impact on the program in goalkeeper Michelle Kukan and defender Juliana Mikulski.

The Roadrunners open the 2021 season on as they host SUNY Oneonta on Wednesday, September 1st at the Athletic Center at 5:00pm.
