Mahogany Wheeler has been named NJAC Co-Rookie of the Year and highlights the Roadrunners selections to the 2021 NJAC Softball All-Conference team announced today by the league office. Senior

Jaclyn Monaco were also named to the all-conference team.
Wheeler, also earned NJAC Second Team All-Conference, led the team in the circle and the plate this season. In the circle, she led the team with six wins, including a NJAC Tournament first-round victory on Tuesday afternoon. She's made 14 appearances in the circle including 12 starts and 12 complete games while recording one save this season. In 83 innings pitched she's struck out 25 batters while recording a 2.53 ERA. At the plate, she is third on the team with a .305 batting average with a team leading 17 RBI. She's collected 18 hits including a team leading 10 doubles while she is tied for the team lead in home runs with two. She boasts a .576 slugging percentage and a .414 on base percentage. In the field, she's recorded 24 putouts and 15 assists. Against NJAC-only competition, she finished 4th in the league with eight doubles and tied for 4th in RBI with 16.
Egan earns her second NJAC post-season honor of her career as she's been named Second Team All-Conference. She is second on the team with a .343 batting average while she leads the team with 24 hits including eight doubles. She's second on the team with 14 RBI and 11 runs scored. She's recorded a .457 slugging percentage and a .356 on base percentage. At second base Egan's recorded 63 putouts and 32 assists while she's helped turn four double plays this season. Against NJAC-only competition, she finished the regular season 7th in the league with 22 hits and 4th in doubles with seven.
Monaco has earned NJAC Second Team All-Conference, the first post-season honor of her career after leading the team with a .422 batting average. She's second on the team with 19 hits and leads the team with 11 stolen bases (11-11). She's also scored seven runs and driven in one RBI. In the field she's recorded 12 putouts and 31 assists. Against NJAC-only competition, she finished the regular season 6th in batting average (.436) while she led the league with nine stolen bases (9-9).
The Roadrunners return to action on Friday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the NJAC Softball Tournament. They travel to #1 Rowan University for a best-of-three series with a double header beginning at 2pm and game two is scheduled for 5pm. The if necessary game will be played on Saturday, May 8th at 2pm.
