Mahwah, NJ: The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced the 2020 Indoor Track & Field All-Region honorees. A total of 1,595 student-athletes that are a part of the eight different regions and from 200 different institutions earned All-Region honors. To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-5 individuals in their event in their respective region on the TFRRS Descending Order List. In addition, each member of a region's top-3 relay team was selected for the distinction.
The distance medley relay team, made up of
Chris Andersen,
Charlie DaSilva,
Jason Rodriguez, and
Cheickna Traore, earned All-Region honors after finishing the season with the 3rd best time in 10:06.49. The team earned the mark at the AARTFC Indoor Championships last weekend.
Individually, Traore earned All-Region honors in the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash. He finished 2nd in the Atlantic Region in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.19 seconds, when he clocked in at the 2020 UAlbany Winter Classic in February. He finished 5th in the 400-meter dash when he posted a time of 49.63 seconds at the NJAC Indoor Championships on February 24th.
DaSilva earned All-Region honors in the 800-meter run when he posted a winning time of 1:54.24 at the AARTFC Indoor Championships.
Kristina Langan, who competed in one meet prior to an injury, earned All-Region honors as she finished with the 2nd best pole vault mark in the Atlantic Region. Langan cleared 3.85-meters at the TCNJ Indoor Open earlier in the year.
