New York, NY: The Ramapo College men's indoor track & field team competed at the TCNJ Winter Opener today at the NY Armory. The Roadrunners competed against teams in NCAA D I & III.
Nicholas DeMarco captured a first-place finish in the 5,000-meter run in 16:04.89, a personal best and more than four seconds ahead of his competition.
Joseph Zisa ran a strong race and placed 4th overall (16:18.40) while
Gabriel Tapia-Suarez placed 5th overall with a personal best time of 16:22.23.
Max Dubac and
Kevin Campbell went back-to-back in the 1,000-meter run in 9th place (2:38.59) and 10th place 2:40.51. The men's 4x400-meter relay team placed 8th overall with a time of 3:31.34. The team was made up of
Dillon Fisher,
Brandon Brunson,
Kevin Edwards and Alex Mabie.
Dillon Fisher placed 12th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.67, an AARTFC qualifier.
Greg Kleinow finished in 9th place in the shot put with a mark of 14.22-meters and also qualified for the AARTFC.
The Roadrunners return to action when host the Ramapo Season Opener on Friday, January 11th at the New York Armory in New York, NY at 10am.
