Lindsay Hughes led the Ramapo College women's lacrosse team to a, 17-9, non-conference victory over the Sage Colleges today at the Athletic Center.
Prior to the start of the second half, head coach 
Jane Koeniges presented Hughes with a lacrosse ball dedicated to her 100th career goal. Hughes scored the goal on March 2nd when she scored her seventh goal of the 2014 season, becoming only second Roadrunner to score 100 career goals.
In the first half, the Gators led Ramapo, 3-1, before Hughes scored her second and third goals of the game to tie the score at three. Her second goal was assisted by 
Monica Torres. Kimberlee Carr and Mallory Hansen scored back-to-back goals for the Gators to take a 5-3 lead. 
Charlotte Councill and Hughes then recorded back-to-back goals for the Roadrunners to tie the game at five. Carr put one in the back of the net for Sage before 
Teresa Gustafson scored to tie the game at six with just under three minutes to play in the first half. Hughes then tallied her 18th goal of the season, unassisted to put the Roadrunners in the lead for good, 7-6. 
Michelle Gustafson scored two goals while Councill tallied another on a free position shot as Sage got their final goal of the half from Monica Koralus. Ramapo led at halftime, 10-7.
In the second half, Ramapo scored the first six goals as they took a 16-7 lead. Hughes scored three while Councill, Torres and 
Katie Duca each scored one goal during the run. Hansen and Koralus scored two goals for Sage before Hughes scored the final goal of the game with seven seconds remaining for the 17-9 win.
Ramapo held a 48-27 lead in shots in the game while they won 20 draw controls to the Gator's eight. 
Emily Kramer started in the goal for the Roadrunners, collecting three saves. Reagan Veir entered the game in the first half, recording six saves and earning the win.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, March 29th, when they travel to Manhattanville College for a 1:00pm game.
