Galloway, NJ: The Stockton University women's lacrosse team defeated Ramapo College, 19-4 today in NJAC action. The Ospreys improve to 11-5 overall and 3-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners wrap up the season with a 5-11 overall record and 0-5 in the league.
The Ospreys put three goals into the back of the net in the first quarter before the Roadrunners got on the board with their first.
Meri Cassidy took a pass from
Kassidy Baez for the team's first goal of the game. Stockton took a 4-1 lead into the second quarter where they added seven goals to their lead for a 11-1 score at halftime. Baez earned another assist in the third as
Bethany Glaser scored the first goal for the Roadrunners. Stockton scored four more goals in the third to extend their lead to 15-2. Ramapo posted the final two goals of the quarter, one by
Erin Smeilus and one from
Darrien Pennachio as both were assisted by Baez. In the fourth, the Ospreys wrapped up the game with four more goals to extend their lead to 19-4.
Daniella Indomenico posted 15 saves in the game for the Roadrunners while Jordan Czaczkowski and Abbey Schaeffer each posted one save in goal for Stockton. Glaser led Ramapo with three draw controls while adding two ground balls.
Ashley Czeczuga and
Kristina McClain posted a team high four ground balls each while Czeczuga led the way with two caused turnovers.
