Box Score Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College field hockey team played host to the Devils of FDU-Florham today in a non-conference match-up, where the Devils came out on top with a 2-0 victory.  With the win the Devils improve to .500 standing at 2-2 overall on the year.  The Roadrunners fall to 0-5.
 
The Devils quickly got on the scoreboard at the start of the game when Alicia Theoret posted her second goal of the season off a dish from Lanie Andrews at 2:03.  FDU-Florham took a two-goal advantage at 15:29 when Stephanie Geskes ripped a shot past the Ramapo netminder at 15:29.  Her goal, the first of the season, was assisted by Kim Davis off a penalty corner.
 
FDU-Florham out shot Ramapo 12-0 in the first 35 minutes of play.  Amy Defnet went untested in the cage while Emily Kramer made eight saves in cage for the Roadrunners.
 
Both teams went scoreless in the second half where the Devils once again led in shots, 5-0.  FDU-Florham held a commanding edge in corners, recording 15 in the first half, and an additional 12 in the second half.  Ramapo earned just one penalty corner in the second half, just before the buzzer. 
 
Kramer made three second half saves while Defnet again posted none.
 
Ramapo returns to action on September 18th when they travel to NJAC rival, Montclair State for a 7pm match-up.
