Gamez earns NJAC Field Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this season after competing at Monmouth University’s Collegiate Winter Open. He finished third in a field of 11 competitors in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 6.82 meters. He also placed fourth in a field of 11 competitors in the high jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 1.99 meters. He also finished seventh in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.59 which currently ranks as the fifth best time in the event in the NJAC this season. The performance by Gamez in the long jump currently represents the second best leap in the NJAC and the 22nd best leap in all of NCAA Division III, while his performance in the high jump currently leads the NJAC and ranks 33rd in NCAA Division III this season.
