Shannon becomes the second Roadrunner this season to earn NJAC Player of the Week honors after powering Ramapo to a 5-0 week, including four key NJAC wins. He went 10-for-18 (.556) on the week with eight RBIs, nine runs scored, four doubles, five drawn walks, and a stolen base. He recorded a .778 slugging percentage and .640 on-base percentage. He safely hit in each of the five games, with three multi-hit games. He opened the week with a 3-for-4 outing with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored in a nonconference win over St. Joseph’s (LI). He added a 3-for-5 performance in the second of two games with William Paterson, and then went a combined 3-for-6 with a double, four RBIs and four runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of Rutgers-Newark. Shannon currently ranks fifth in the NJAC in both batting average (.364) and slugging percentage (.542).
