Hernandez earns NJAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after a record-setting performance at the NJAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend. He won both the 800 meters and 1,500 meters, setting a new NJAC meet record with a 3:50.93 in the 1,500. He clocked a 1:51.87 in the 800; both times hit the ECAC standard. His 800 time puts him 12th on the NCAA Division III national list and his 1,500 time is 15th nationally. Hernandez helped Ramapo to a second place team finish, the Roadrunners’ highest finish since 2012.
