Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College softball team extended their win streak to eight games with a NJAC sweep over New Jersey City University (3-15 overall/1-3 NJAC) this afternoon. The Roadrunners (18-3 overall/4-0 NJAC) won both games in five innings with scores of 11-2 in game one and 9-1 in game two.

Hannah Hensler drove in the first run for the Roadrunners in the bottom of the first inning as

Aimee Notaro drove in Hensler with a hard-hit single through the left side of the infield, 3-0.
Angelina Ciesnicki then laced a double down the left field line to plate Notaro, 4-0. In the second,
Lia Milsom scored an unearned run when she scored on an infield error by NJCU before Hensler hit her second home run of the season. She belted a two-run home run over the left field wall to push the score, 7-0. In the third,
Emily Ehrmann walked and Milson singled before they both came home on a single from Correa-Vanness, 9-0. NJCU posted two unearned runs in the top of the fourth inning as the Roadrunners committed three errors in the inning. Ramapo then scored two more runs in the bottom half of the inning for an 11-2 score. Hensler, Sullivan and
Alex Hastings each singled to load the bases before Notaro lifted a sac fly to center field to plate Hensler, 10-2. Ciesnicki picked up the final RBI of the game on a ground out as Sullivan scored, 11-2.
Gabby Morgan (7-1) struck out three, walked one and let up just two hits and two runs (none earned) in four innings of work.
Brooke Knight finished the game in the fifth inning with one strikeout and no walks. Hensler led the team at the plate in game one finishing 3-3 with three runs scored and three RBI.
Game #2: Ramapo 9, NJCU 1 | Five Innings
Mikayla McJilton earned the win in the circle in game two for the Roadrunners, surrendering just two hits in four innings of work. McJilton struck out three and walked none. The Roadrunners got on the board in the second inning with four runs. With runners on first and third and no outs, Notaro singled to left field which allowed Sullivan to score an unearned run, 1-0. Ehrmann then recorded a triple to left field to plate Hastings and Notaro before Milsom drove in Ehrmann with a hard-hit single of her own, 4-0. In the fourth, Ehrmann led off with a triple to right field before Milsom hit a triple into the left-center field gap, 5-0. Correa-Vanness drove in Milsom with an RBI single before Hensler drove in Correa-Vanness, 7-0. Hastings then hit the third triple for the team in the inning; down the left field line which allowed Hensler to score, 8-0. In the top of the fifth inning, Natalie Rosales hit a solo home run which sailed just inside the left field foul pole to get NJCU on the board. In the fifth,
Emily Reilly led off with a pinch-hit double and moved to third on a fielder's choice before later scoring on an infield error, 9-1.
Correa-Vanness, Sullivan, Ehrmann and Milsom all collected two hits in the game to help lead the Roadrunners to victory. Milsom and Ehrmann each posted two RBI at the plate.
Ramapo returns to action tomorrow afternoon at the Athletic Center when they host SUNY New Paltz in non-conference action at 3pm.
