Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team defeated visiting Purchase College tonight at the Bradley Center, 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-17). The Roadrunners move to 5-7 overall while the Panters now stand at 1-9 on the season.
Ramapo hit .323 as a team with 30 kills on 62 attempts with 10 errors.
Amari Menter and
Justin Hidalgo each put down nine kills in the match while Menter hit .389 in the match with one solo block and three digs.
Jan Tracz added four total kills including three solo while recording four kills and three digs.
Joseph Duca led the way with 28 assists and a team high four aces while contributing with two kills and five digs.
Sebastian Hernandez and
Ryan Westrich who subbed in as serve specialists recorded three and two aces respectively.
Sean McNally once again led the team on defense with six digs.
For Purchase, the team was led by Jael Martinez who tallied six kills, two assisted blocks and three digs. Udel Phillips, Hector Ruiz and Luca Valeriano each posted five kills each for the team. On defense, Ruiz added five digs while Joey Toscano added four. The Panthers tallied 24 total kills in the match on 72 attempts with 15 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday on the road when they travel to Immaculata University for a match at 1:00 PM.
